In the spirit of British Flowers Week, Kitten Grayson and her team decorated one of their favourite windows, using Happy on the Hill flower farm’s blooms, to encourage the UK to get involved and create British Flowers Week Windows.
Kitten Grayson Flowers is a London based studio that creates unique floral installations for luxury events, weddings and bespoke commissions.
The studio’s work is informed by Kitten’s almost synesthetic relationship with nature and a commitment to sustainability. With over 15 years’ experience, Kitten trained under some of London’s top florists. She also honed her horticultural skills working with landscape architect and horticulturalist studio, Urquhart & Hunt, as well as influential Dutch landscape designer and author, Piet Oudolf on the perennial meadow at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery in Bruton.
Kitten works closely with the studio’s Managing Director, Harriette Tebbutt, who transitioned into the world of flowers and botany from a career in interior styling and art direction almost 5 years ago. Together, they have developed the studio’s unique signature style – refined yet wild blooms paired according to habitat and season. Kitten’s horticultural know-how and Harriette’s tactile approach to styling makes them the perfect union.
They have dressed tables and created theatrical floral installations for major fashion and beauty brands, as well as a number of art galleries and private weddings. In 2018 they designed the iconic London Gate entrance to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to great acclaim.
