Columbia Road Press is a British company owned and run by Annie Tidyman. Annie created the British Flowers Week Union Jack and also the ‘How to Press Flowers’ Guide in our downloadable Toolkit.

Annie is a successful graphic designer and a former Creative Director in the advertising industry. She has always had a passion for typography and design.

Living on Columbia Road ignited the love of flowers she’d had since she was a little girl and after finding some pressed flowers in a book from her childhood, she decided to combine these two passions and Columbia Road Press was born.

‘I remember my mum  buying me a flower press when I was small and  the joy it brought me when I opened the press to reveal the hidden treasures within. I still feel the same way when I open the industrial sized presses I have built today.’

After extensive research, and plenty of trial and error with different preservation techniques, Annie now creates beautiful bespoke artwork and prints using the medium of flowers.
