Following on from the success of last year’s British Flowers Week competition, we’re back with another one. And this year, we’re teaming up with the Garden Museum to host a celebration of British flowers and floral design.
We’re calling for submissions from floral designers for six innovative installations to be displayed in the nave of the Garden Museum during British Flowers Week, 18 – 24 June. Go here to enter and be in with a chance of winning a grand prize.
The Garden Museum is a newly restored historic environment which explores and celebrates British gardens and gardening through its collection, temporary exhibitions, events and garden. We’re asking you to create installations reflecting their values, and showcasing the unique seasonal qualities of British flowers, foliage and plants, which will be on display to the public throughout British Flowers Week.
Helen Evans, a spokesperson for New Covent Garden Market, said: “British Flowers Week is a fantastic platform for florists to showcase their creativity, skill and passion for working with the best locally-grown flowers and foliage. The Garden Museum is the perfect new venue to celebrate this, and we can’t wait to see the installations that our talented floral designers will come up with.”
A judging panel of industry experts will select the six installations and, when in place, a winning design will be chosen by a special guest judge. The deadline for applications is midnight on 2 May 2018.
